DominaHartt is a songwriting team that was started in 2013 by Richard Domina and Heather Hartt. Together they have produced a dozen demos thus far and continue, daily, to work on new and exciting material.
Domina is a former guitarist and lead vocalist with Trouts, a Chicago-based power pop band in the 1980s. He wrote much of the Trouts material and has written a multitude of songs since, including an opera. His pop tunes, specifically “Hard Left Turn,” have enjoyed successful runs on the radio. Domina plays guitar, piano, drums and bass, and has pitched television theme music to Disney Jr., among others.
Hartt, a former TV host on E! Entertainment Television and TV GUIDE Television, started her writing career in advertising in Montreal. She then moved to LA where she was an editor and reporter for The Hollywood Reporter. After her years on television, Hartt moved back to Canada and became a prolific and successful children’s book author. She has published 5 books under the name Heather Hartt-Sussman with Tundra Books (a division of Random House), was nominated for two Blue Spruce and one Shining Willow Award and was “Editor’s Choice” in the New York Time Book Review section.
