This past weekend, Norwegian Getaway floated for the first time ever. The floating up started on Friday, May 24 at 12:00 noon local time in Papenburg, Germany where the ship is being constructed and was completed by 5 pm.
On Saturday, the ship was successfully moved forward and by Sunday morning, the ship was set in her new position which is extremely forward. The dock in Hall 6 is 500m (1640 feet) long and can accommodate 1.5 Getaway sized ship at the time
In terms of progress on the vessel, all steel-blocks are erected at this time, so the ship structure is complete!
We are very much looking forward to Norwegian Getaway joining our fleet in January.
